Playtime with Daddy

Jorge is such a wonderful dad with little Mila... you should see him with her. He talks to her and she's smiles back at him and she "goos's" and "ahhh's" at him.... they are so sweet! She's starting to look at dangling objects, so he pulls out some toys and jingles them for her so I can make dinner. I just melt. It's so wonderful to see them both so happy! Before he used to rush home to catch the game on tv, now he rushes home so he can play with his little girl. :)

Here he is playing with Mila after a diaper change. He dangles these little toys, a lion and an elephant that he has so creatively named Simba and Dumbo -- which look nothing like the Disney characters. He jingles them above her and says to her enthusiastically, "Look, mi amor, it's Simba and Dumbo! ... It's Dumbo and Simba!" .... and he does this over and over and over and over. It was enough to drive a girl mad!





I casually suggested he introduce another toy so she doesn't get bored. I handed him this red one with lots of colors and crinkly ears.



Jorge then takes it and jingles it the exact same way and says to her in the same enthusiastic tone, except now he says, "Look mi amor, it's JUMBO Dumbo!" I gotta admit, that cracked me up. My husband is just so creative, LOL!

Then, while going through her toys, he finds another toy, this one is a fish... guess what he named this one?



You guessed it: "Look, mi amor... It's Finding Nemo!"

One day, Mila is going to watch those Disney movies and be severely disappointed that those characters look nothing like she thought they did! LOL!
