Team Heike!!

Over the summer, our friend Heike (Audrey's mom) was diagnosed with breast cancer. I can't tell you how heartbreaking it was to hear the news. But if anyone can get through this, it's Heike. She's a wonderful, loving, strong, brave woman and there is no doubt in my mind she'll get through this tough time! Heike is going to kick cancer in the ASS!!! :)

To show our support, Claudia came up with the idea of doing the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer walk next month. It's such a wonderful idea! So I made some shirts for everyone and we surprised her with the idea today. Unfortunately for me, the walk is October 15th and my due date is October 20th. Heaven forbid I were to go into labor during the walk!!! So I won't be able to participate. :( The thought occurred to me that maybe I could just go and cheer them on, but the walk is in Miami, about an hour south from here - and I'm planning on delivering in Boca, which is 45 minutes north from here! I was so bummed not to be able to go. So in lieu of participating, we donated to help find a cure. You can donate too!

Playdate at Cafe Au Play

Today our Mommy friend, Nikki invited us for a playdate at an indoor play area called Cafe Au Play. We had so much fun! They had a bunch of toddler toys for the kids to play. Mila loved the little house! She was a little tentative to go in at first, but then she was thrilled! That is, until other kids came in to play too and then she got upset and was calling for me to get them out, haha! She still hasn't grasped the concept of playing together, LOL!

Then she found a little BBQ set and liked to open and close the cabinets...

She even wanted to climb inside it!!

My favorite was when she found a little stroller and immediately put Dolly in it and pushed her around! She'd never done that before! It was so cute!!

Easter/Spring Photoshoot

I can't tell you how much I've fallen in love with my camera. I loooove taking pictures, especially of the kids. So I offered to do an Easter/Spring photo shoot with the kids and Heather so kindly let us shoot at her house. I was hoping to do some shots outside, but it POURED! Fortunately, Heather's house is gorgeous and it wasn't hard to find a gorgeous wall that has some beautiful moulding and I used that as my background. I wish more natural light was coming in, but it was so dark because of the rain. That's when good ol' Photoshop came in handy. I'm still pretty new to learning my camera, so I'm not familiar with all the settings, but Photoshop and I are best friends. So I figure what I can't do with the camera - for now - I can make up for in Photoshop. At least until I learn more.

Liam's First Birthday

Mila's little buddy Liam turned one this week! Yesterday we helped him celebrate - MOSTER style!!! I designed the invitations for his birthday party. I loved the theme!
